Local Service

Our club’s service projects serve people of all ages and backgrounds. ¬†We have been providing dictionaries to third graders for several years. Pictured below is one of the Highlands Elementary third grades, obviously excited about their new dictionaries

Highlands Elementary

A few of our more recent service projects include:

+ Sorting Food at the local food bank every Tuesday

+ Participating in the Salvation Army’s “Forgotten Angel” program

+ Serving the annual 4th of July Pancake Breakfast in Clayton

+ Quarterly clean up of Clayton Road between K-Mart & Ygnacio Valley

+ Gathering turkeys for the Salvation Army’s annual Thanksgiving Distribution

+ Support of “Every Fifteen Minutes” program at Concord and Clayton Valley High Schools

+ We have “adopted” the Donner Cabin Trail in Mt Diablo State Park and keep it walkable

+ We assist with the maintenance and upkeep at the Markham Arboretum in Concord.
